Behold, my latest (completed) project! The sea scorpion from the "8076 - Deep Sea Striker" set of the Lego Atlantis series.

An interesting set, and a rather fun build. It took me about 5 to 6 hours to build it in MLCAD, with most of the time dedicated to relearning how to create a Multi-Part model as a single file. While building the scorpion, I found I had to change a few of the parts, primarily changing the legs to an even height, and straightening the neck so the head looks forward and not up at an angle. The only real problems I had were with the claw hinges; for some reason they just wouldn't line up correctly, so I had to reconstruct them from the ground up.

Constructed in MLCAD / Rendered in LDView.

From the thumbnail, the creature being a lego construct was not at all obvious. NOW it looks like something from the Lego Movie.

Is it weird it bears a striking resemblance to the leviathan from Disney’s Atlantis
