This project took over a year and a half, mostly because I just made the belt first then it sat there until I found a buckle for it. And finally I fitted it to myself and added the parts that holds the leftover belt in place.

umm, it could if the rings are not closed right, or if the rings have steel burs on them. I try to close each ring as perfectly as possible, and I try to cut the rings off the coil in a way that doesn't make burs on the next ring.

That's awesome! I had some mail accessories before and the major downside was they wore the fabric bits.

So far I used it about 25 times with the one pair of jeans and its a little worn, but still near new.
