" ”I won’t lie, I could traverse the cosmos from end to proverbial end, and I’ll never find any place quite like Hirth. In its imperfections, I find a level of solace I thought to be unattainable and even exploring my own backyard can be dashed with felicity. Suffice to say, it’s nice for an itinerant soul like mine to have some place to call home once my well of wanderlust depletes."

Who said insomniacs couldn’t be productive? Next to my recent writing commission trial-by-fire, this is one of my largest projects by a long shot. For a while, I’ve always wanted to commission a depiction of what my home planet would look like, but it wasn’t until recently where I decided to take that project into my own hands. Hirth, in and of itself, is a multifaceted gem home to several associates of mine with odd physiologies – and also remains of the largest inhabited planets in the local cluster, if not THE largest. In traditional science fiction form, humans do have residence on Hirth – but I wasn’t all that fond of how most portrayals of humans paint them as hairless apes, so they live in tandem with all the other races, making them vastly more evolved than the denizens of Earth.

Still, Earthlings and Hirthlings are intimately entwined (and I did want to ensure that so I could tie in future storylines with those on the smaller of the two blue marbles). Oh, and keep in mind that most of this was calculated using the Habitable Zone conjecture – meaning that this planet would function at the class it’s at with the stage star it orbits (and let me be the first to say that I never want to do that much math AGAIN).

This is one of the few times where I really do want comments. This infographic took weeks to cement and multiple all-nights similar to this one and I’d like a little feedback since I don’t plan on this being my last! Ah, one final little nudge: Hirth does not have flags. Instead, it has emblems which are emblazoned on the corners of the respective information panels. Keep that in mind that you peruse this~!

Enjoy, and I do hope this helps expand my universe even more for those interested!
