Character Description
Zearou "Blackheart" is a renegade member of Queen Chrysalis' army of changelings. He prowls Equestria searching for new opportunities to grow and expand his magic and fighting abilties. After experiencing an accidental transformation in the Badlands, he has since distanced himself from his comrades, determined to test his limits, realize his potential, and prove his worth.
Personality
Following the changeling-related incidents at Canterlot and Ponyville, Blackheart develops a relatively serious, reserved, and mature personality.
Although Blackheart has a tendency to be self-absorbed while alone, he can be very mindful of others.
Despite Blackheart's ability to deceive others, he can be very sincere when expressing his own thoughts and feelings.
Blackheart often exhibits maverick behavior.
Although Blackheart tends to be a lone wolf, he occasionally seeks company to avoid loneliness.

Background/History
Zearou was born and raised in a changeling colony located outside of Equestria and overseen by Queen Chrysalis. He was trained as a warrior and eventually enlisted in Queen Chrysalis' army. On the day Queen Chrysalis' army invaded Canterlot, Shining Armor's protection spell empowered by Cadence's love stranded Zearou in Canterlot and separated him from Queen Chrysalis and the rest of her army. Injured, he fled to the Everfree Forest and began to fend for himself, visiting Ponyville to gather supplies and information. When Queen Chrysalis sent changelings to invade Ponyville, Zearou was forced to retreat to the Badlands when the others were defeated and captured by Twilight Sparkle and company. Camping in the Badlands, Zearou experienced dramatic changes to his body overnight when the Secretariat Comet passed over Equestria.

Zearou does not know his parentage and is unaware of any potential siblings or kin.
Any documentation of akin family is presumably unavailable or nonexistent.
World/Setting
Zearou Blackheart exists in the world of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Most of his activity takes place in Equestria.
Body
Originally, Blackheart had the body of a typical changeling minion. Following his transformation under the Secretariat Comet, Blackheart has a build that closely resembles that of Princess Cadence or Princess Luna. Blackheart has blue eyes that resemble Queen Chrysalis' eyes. His curved horn has a single jag in the front. His wings are elongated and narrow with jagged features reminiscent of Queen Chrysalis. Blackheart retains his fin-like tail and mane, but now has fringes that hang over the side and front of his head.
By default, Blackheart has a neutral but serious facial expression. His face can also have a sullen or grim demeanour, especially when he is preoccupied or concentrated on a task.
Clothing
Blackheart usually does not wear clothes, like many ponies. He only wears outfits as needed.
Accessories
If anything, Blackheart brings a spacious, sturdy saddlebag or a magic amulet. He rarely brings anything extraneous to keep his payload light for any additional items.
