OK, I'm a big fan of Aardman Studios in general, having first encountered them from seeing their award-winning short "Creature Comforts," and then of course there were the Chevron and Serta commercials, but of course Wallace and Gromit made them much more famous. Anyway, I've been watching a lot of "Timmy Time" while trying to make my cold go away -- that and a 101-degree fever are probably jointly responsible for this attempt to draw Jennie hopping down the road to the same preschool that Timmy and his friends go to. I've got my lunchbox and I'm ready to go.
I have to wonder what sound Jennie would make. Timmy the lamb goes "baa," of course, and Paxton the piglet goes "oink," and then we have Stripey the badger cub, who sounds like a bicycle horn, Apricot the hedgehoglet, who makes a kind of high-pitched "chip" sound, and Finlay the fox kit, who says, "yip yap." Any ideas what a bunny would say? The show has no rabbits, so it's all up to speculation.
I carefully painted and shaded Jennie and her lunchbox in Sai, trying to make her look like she was modeled out of clay, but the background I rendered in Maya, mostly so I could make the picket fence look nice and straight. Its grass tool isn't very good.
