The phone says Dad, random jibberish that is numbers, then call disconnected.
I drew this on Christmas, because I was missing my Dad, since this is the first year that I spent Christmas alone, so the reality of not hearing anything from my Father who passed in 2007 came to light.

Well the reason I assume Edward's Dad died, is because in Hello Dolly, it shows a picture frame of what looks like his father with candles surrounding it at christmas.
