I would like to dedicate this piece to my step grandfather, who died shortly after Christmas this year. It's a very unfortunate end to 2013, and such a shame. He was a very nice man until the very end, even though he was ill and had been admitted to hospice shortly before his death. My thoughts and sympathies go to his wife and their son who have just been through so much, undeservedly so.
