Got the idea from ctrlpaint.com and Matt Kohr's blog posts about conceptualizing and inspiration. Well not so much FROM as it came to me while reading/watching.

Idea for Darklet: cutesy, but with giant creepy/menacing/huge appendages

For Rover.clevehand: ground-level sea creatures (hermit/crabs/mantis shrimp eye)mixed with nonsense creepiness and machinery.

By the way, if anyone has the chance, check out the mantis shrimp's eyes... Human eyes only have three photoreceptors... RedBlueGreen. The mantis shrimp has 16.
