I always wanted to try to vary my body types with my characters, and I've been looking at photos of handsome fellows on Tumblr as references. Being a former football player, I'm sure Butch would hit the gym frequently to keep his sexy musclechub figure, so I wanted to draw something more realistic to that. This time around I think I want to try a shorter haircut and a shave. I had been changing his friends' hairstyles lately (Beatou's muttonchops, Dunn's mohawk, Ollie's shaggy hair). I'm sure that somewhere down the line, working a desk job would mean trying to be a bit less scruffy. Looks like Butch's become a mature, grown-up 30-year-old krokodyle.
