so...yeah.  We've gotten to this point in my life.  3.5 years past the first shot of the Mewtwo/Lucario fanwar, and these two images exist.  Obviously, I have a lot of explaining to do.

At the beginning of all of the issues that stemmed from the Super Smash Bros. Brawl roster, I was of the mindset that all Lucarios were assholes, and given the people I encountered on DeviantArt, at time this could have been a fair assumption.  After joining FA, I saw that the Lucario fans here were not same as the trolls on dA.  Having said that, I still did not feel comfortable with any Lucario being in any position of power over any Mewtwo, as many other Mewtwo fans on here can attest to my very quick responses to such artwork.

...then I talked to Galileo here.

Galileo is what the rest of the dA Lucario fans should be.  He has never rubbed it in regarding the Brawl roster, and has been sympathetic to the issues the Mewtwo fanbase has faced, especially given there's the potential with the next Smash for Zoroark to take Lucario's spot and then there will be TWO pissed off fanbases.

A good few things had to happen in order for me to get to the point where this commission was done.

*Agreement to immediate role reversal after Lucas was predded on - check, as obviously the second image immediately happened after the first.

*Galileo offering to be prey first - check, though it may end up getting released after these images.  Arklionspaw is doing a Thanksgiving (now Christmas) group picture in which furs prey on other furs at dinner tables (link will be put here when the pic eventually goes up), and in this pic Lucas is nomnomnomming Galileo.

*Nothing unwilling on the part of any Mewtwo, and no permadeath - check.

It took literally years for me to get to the point where this scenario was "okay" in my mind, but it finally happened.

Another note here, this could also be viewed as a statement piece in another way.  Me giving myself up (even though this isn't perma) in a situation that ends up with the original Mewtwo on top is representative of my real-life mindset; I would gladly give my life if it meant ensuring that the Mewtwo fanbase would prosper forever, and Mewtwo would return to his former level of glory and power in the public eye, as far as official appearances in Nintendo/GameFreak sanctioned works.

I'm still iffy on a lot of things as far as Mewtwo/Lucario shenanigans go.  There are still things I will fight to the death and do role reversals on with or without the consent of the ones behind the original images.  But for now...I can be content with the knowledge that there are SOME good Lucarios out there.
