There's a lot of fun to be had in the snow but there's also the other side where you have to move it so you can get about and get to work or do your daily chores. That means its 'shoveling tiem' or if your lucky crank up the snowblower making you the block bulldozer. You dig them out while the young folks are out and about having fun.
When all is said and done and you haul your cold and sore carcass home to thaw out, rest and sip on your hot drink in your easy chair, couch or bed, you get a visit from one of the neighbors you dug out bearing gifts of food, funds or promises they will keep making it all seem worth while.
