I'm sorry if I'm criticizing but.....why bother getting the health down to red if you're just gonna use a Masterball?? As a professional Pokemon Trainer, this makes no sense to me .3.

But Pokeballs are designed to be thrown at the Pokemon and open&capture the Pokemon on contact.....and for such a specialized ball that's meant to catch Pokemon without fail, the manufacturers of it should've checked thoroughly for faults in the Masterball

Both are very plausible reasons.....in all honesty, I'm gonna have to go with the trainer throwing faster than the ball could react to, despite how VERY unlike that would be. Also, because I'm gonna stick to my reasoning about how there wouldn't be any faults with the Masterball because it is scientific perfection.
