Scraps

This is Derp. Derp provides me with the shed skin that makes my jewelry pendants.

Derp is also...well, he's a Derp. He sprawls in random places. He snores. He drools.  He gets stuck in places he doesn't belong in.  He climbs in wires.

He's also the laziest lizard you ever met.  From his nest to his heating lamp to his food dish, that's his path.

In this picture, he's nosed out the ferret ball to make himself a space BEHIND the heating lamp.

His actual name is Asgard...but he's a Derp, so Derp I name him. He's my big puppydog lizard.

He's also missing a toe because he's so gentle, he let a girl lizard half his size beat the crap out of him, lol.

Yep. We were new to the whole 'female lizard mating season' experience, and he started huffing and flashing his junk at her (that's how boy tegus show off), and she attacked him. Tore his toe right off. Nearly took my finger off when I realized what was happening and had to get her jaw unlatched from his foot. She shortly found a new home since her aggression level was through the roof, and he's just too gentle a lizard to breed.

Sadly...he's not the brightest of lizards. I had to deal with the whole 'attempting to hump my feet' situation for several months after that. And him leaving me little boy presents on my floor. >.< lol

And that's exactly what happened, lol. Or him rubbing one out on my towels (the rough texture of the towels I used to use in his nest/burrow seemed to 'excite' him). Yeah. During that time, it was just like having a horny little teenage boy running around.
