Blackfish doesnt really tell you everything though.
its just going to show mostly the worst of those
orcas an seaworld~ idk about the cove, never
heard of that one. but ive looked into blackfish an
seaworld they have a bunch of outstanding records
for care, safety protocol of their animals an staff...

definitely interesting picture... i kinda thought that
it was a dragon transforming or vice versa if i hadnt
read the information in the description. Its cute, nicely
done. Would love to see this in color to contrast between
skin and the tattoo colorations.

The Cove is a documentary related to the capturing/transporting/killing of dolphins in Japan.

I just personally don't believe dolphins or orcas should ever be in captivity. I think Blackfish does a pretty good job at showing why orcas don't belong there. I will say I don't care to debate because it doesn't seem as though you were actually being negative. Everybody is entitled to their opinions, I just posted it because I think if people want to see it they should. I suppose if they haven't seen it, or even heard of them, I should probably post the gist of what they are o3o.

Haha or I just suppose I could remove that little snippet, it really doesn't serve a purpose in this pic :3

I did google the cove after my post. an well.. japan is way worse on
how they treat their animals... captive or not - look at the whaling fleet.
And im not condoning the enclosuring of animals, whether zoo or sea
i dont think they need to be in anything other than nature preserves
an such.. wide wide way open ranges. then you have the issue of poachers.

so its a win-lose either way imo and im not debating, im just saying that
not EVERYTHING that happens at seaworld is as bad as ppl make it out
to be. Every business whether dealing with humans, plants, animals what
not has issues -- an while seaworld might have its issues, theyre nothing
like japan. You never really hear the good of things, its always the bad no
matter what - esp with animals/human related things - ya know?

Just saying i guess in general that... you hear more bad then good about
anything thats in the public spotlight such as that. From what ive seen an
read about the cove now... i cant handle anymore sadness ;.; im all for
the whalers in japan being stopped. I dont even eat tuna anymore because
the dolphin safe MIGHT still not even be so..

This is very true. Yeah, I knew you weren't being hostile. :3  I mean yeah, Seaworld does do a lot of great things. They do save the lives of a lot of animals, (actually none of the orcas in seaworld are from rehabilitation, all born there or previously removed directly from the wild, but that's relatively beside the point) I just have a very high feeling towards orcas and dolphins in captivity and all the stuff that surrounds it. Which is why I posted that little part. Sure the trainers clearly care deeply about the orcas and dolphins they work with, however they can only do so much for them.

Well.. Tiki was a rescue from a mexico aquarium or was that keiko.. i cant recall at the moment.
But most of them this day an age are born in captivity. seals an things like that, small an get
rescued-rehabbed some cant ever return for whatever reason but i mean ive seen turtles an
all sorts of creatures get helped by them. But yea... no one is god, an only god can decide
what really happens to the creatures despite all the knowledge an such bestowed upon the
staff-caretakers... but, sadly i dont ever see zoos/aquariums ever going away... :\

Yeah =\ If you care, this is a really good website about the orcas in captivity (as far as information about them, birth dates, captures dates, etc..) http://orcahome.de/orcastat.htm
