(FINALLY updating my Lupine Assassin album on my iPod.... I've been updating my iPod's music library constantly over the last year and a half, making room for more... :) From what to what? 12 to 50 songs! :) )

I should've gotten a 32GB instead of a 16GB, but hey, it's a 2nd Generation iPod touch that still works after 5 years, even after falling in the toilet, getting lost on an airplane, and dropped a few dozen times without breaking....
I've been gradually updating my music library from MP3s to AAC v1 96kbps to AAC v2 48kbps (sounds counterintuitive, but it is actually an improvement), with only a handful of MP3s and AAC v1's left-- Right now, the last two big folders still using older files are the Monkees (I have them re-ripped, just gotta sort and select) and my selection of music from FA (mostly ambient)-- Between those two are about 8 hours or so of music... Most of the rest not yet updated are just a few isolated tracks here and there. It just takes a while to go through almost 600 "albums" on the iPod... o.o
(As long as it's still working and usable- News, music, radio, ebooks, clocks, notepad, etc.etc.etc.- I don't need to replace it... Yet.)

All the discs from my old storage unit, I digitized them and put them in the WD's along with countless videos, pictures and documents. Before that, I was using the electric-powered external drive I bought in haste because my old laptop was about to die on me.

I have very little on my laptop as a precautionary measure. I got tons of movies I digitized that I still need to watch! A lot of rare ones in there as well. RealPlayer enthusiasts will cringe when I say this, but I continue to convert my video files to the best-quality Quicktime possible.

Let's face it, H.264 MPEG-4 video @ 720p (DVD) & 1080p (Blu-Ray/HDTV) is the best there is, right now, and QuickTime was the first consumer video product to ever support this standard. :)
