This is Luca (female) and Shuri (male), two macaw hybrids from Eri's story line of the hybrid universe. Shuri was purchased a very expensive birthday present for his young mistress, who fell in love with his song and bright colors. However, when a man broke into their home with the intention of kidnapping the girl for ransom, Shuri attacked the man. He managed to save his mistress, but broke his left wing. His mistress did not want him after that and her father did not want the expense of getting his wing fixed, so he was released into the jungle.

Shuri succumbed to Separation Depression and almost starved to death. He was saved by a fellow macaw hybrid named Luca. She had grown up in the jungle feral and was quite happy to see one of her own kind. She nursed him back to health and provided for him as Shuri could no longer fly and she didn't know how to fix his wing. They become an inseparable mated pair and lived happily until their habitat was destroyed by a wildfire. Instead of letting the forest be, the local human settlement decided it was a great excuse for expansion.

Luca and Shuri were discovered and sold to Eri, who paid to get Shuri's wings fixed. She refused to separate the two and even built them their own sanctuary in her large home where they could be safe and cared for. She dotes on them like children and they are always happy to sing for her and Eri's own offspring.

Luca and Shuri are fairly carefree and laid back. They sometimes act like identical twins instead of mates, and can't stand to be apart for more than a short amount of time. Shuri is typically the more dominant personality and is a bit overprotective of her husband. The both of them are very small, only 3'8 and incredibly light.
