I actually finished this several days ago but I went straight to bed and have been super busy and sick the past few days so I hadn't gotten around to uploading!

Another left handed piece, I am getting considerably more comfortable now.

This is for SandyN of her lovely fennec fox lady, thanks so much for your generosity :3

Would you say that your style is remarkably similiar regardless of which hand you use? Are there any differences?

I'd say my left hand looks more "painterly" and less "perfect" because it still lacks the same precision my right hand has and struggles with certain angles. I think otherwise the overall style is kind of the same, but I've also been experimenting and practicing a lot with my art lately so it's kind of hard to tell.

I'm just trying to figure out if there is any sort of like.. muscle memory involved which separates itself from the brain slightly to give it a slightly different end result, or if the brain takes over completely and applies all the same theory no matter which limb you use, even feet :0
. You are the only artist I've ever seen that draws both right and left handed. So it's not often this kind of study can be conducted

That's an interesting point :o some of the most frustrating things with learning to use my left hand have been that my brain knows what to do, but the left hand didn't know how and would just derp around instead of go in the direction I want. But as my left hand is slowly getting used to drawing it is becoming more and more comfortable, and most of the time now I actually completely forget I'm even using it because of how natural it is slowly feeling with each picture. I've certainly had to train my left hand in how to use a pen, and it seems to me the only reason the end result looks different is because it's still learning and not yet as perfect as my right. It is however slowly becoming more and more similar to my right.

So I think overall the brain knows what's what, but you have to train the muscles up to connect to that knowledge.

This essentialy the info I was looking for. I have the assumption that the results would general be the same for most people. I would be curious to Se someone who draws with both hands but has distinguishable differences between both, almost as if 2 different artists altogether.

I did a side-by-side bit of handwriting a few weeks back. My right hand slants to the right and is a bit more uniform, and the left side TRIES to lean to the left and be uniform but it was still clearly struggling at that stage so it was a bit messy and awkward. I might try another test of that now actually *gets out sketch book*

wow i must say your left hand vs right hand drawing are remarkably similiar... however your writing is clearly still in need of some fine tuning.
I dont mean this in a condecending way, your left hand writing wasnt up to par to what i thought it would be with the level of skill you portray through left handed drawings.
how very interesting!!!

I think it's the small enclosed letters that get me. It struggles to do small circley type shapes and stuff, whereas with drawing I don't have to do that so much, it's more various lines. I can do large capital letters quite well with my left hand but yeah, lower case definitely needs to be worked on XD
