So, Fig is only allowed to use mechanical pencils at school. Using a wooden one for her is like you having a pen made of bacon - it's just not fair for people to expect you to still have it at the end of the day. The mechanical ones are a fine solution for Fig most of the time, but sometimes - sometimes - a classmate will lend her pencil-crayons to color something. Sometimes an entire box of pencil-crayons. They are never seen again.
That's Fig's normal bed, by the way. She and Cherry live in a tent, and sleep on futons with sleeping-bags for blankets. ~Poverty~
