1) Because sushi's delicious. 2) Because he wants to! He's a bird, I bet he's comfortable up there. 3) A nation/society of birds would not have developed a language at all similar to English due to their mouths and possibly vocal cords. That would make it extremely difficult - perhaps impossible - to learn mammalian languages.
