In honor of Halloween, vixenMegan has decided to boldly fox where no fox has ever foxed before. She even agreed to wear the miniskirt this time, though she insisted she be giving something more interesting to do than sit on the bridge and fend off the Captain's advances all day.
Doesn't it just figure? I always kind of figured that if I were to somehow find myself in the Star Trek universe I'd be prime redshirt material. Just so long as I get to go down fighting!
Though, I do think I'd look slightly better in blue.
(I grew up watching re-runs of the original series, and it remains my favorite to this day.)

Much of my life, I've been compared to Spock, in everything but stature (and a sense of humour). I could see myself in Science, Communications or Navigation. :)
I was hooked on Star Trek, ever since one of my babysitters had cable, back in early '71, and I do still remember to this day begging to get cable, just so I could watch Trek...and another show called The Monkees...and actually getting it! :) I love all the series (and yes, TOS was the best, IMO) and seen all the movies... I was involved in the first local Star Trek fan club by 1974, that was started by a girl 5-6 years older than me (I still see her every now and then- She's very much the stereotypical fangirl to this day)... It is Trek that has long fueled my love of space sciences & science fiction, and of course, that sense of wonder. I am amazed I've survived long enough to see some of the technological ideas of Star Trek actually become reality, even if in a furtive experimental state. :) Good Lord, do I miss Dee Kelly, Jimmy Doohan, Majel Barrett, and of course, the Great Bird of the Galaxy, himself, Gene Roddenberry.... It was because of the Star Trek fan productions that inspired me to buy my Nikon DSLR, because of its capability of doing cinematic video....
Live long and prosper, d.m.f.
