Ok, I know this won't get much attention here, but I still wanna post it.

I decided I wanna learn to 'steampunk' stuff, so I needed to practice.
I got a 20 cents trash toygun with aweful colors but interesting shape.

Here it's already open of course, but is to compare, the original look, with the base coloring. Sill needs details and stuff, but is it looking steampunk-y?
Do I keep the black, or look for a bronze or red-ish metal color to add?

Keep the black. Try a dry brushing of light grey or silver just to make the high points stand out. If it ends up too shiny looking keep it black but try gloss clear coat in the deep spots and semi-flat on the rest.

maybe try to "add" thing on it so it looks like some one had maybe tie a littel rope around it or so :)

I love it how it is! Its very alien and much better then the original. But as a few said... if your going steam-punk... needs more addons hehe rope or even a gear or two
