Apatite Is probably one of the only few diamond dogs in the equestria that actually lives with actually with ponies and well interacts with this politely and in control of his urges for gems. He was abandoned as a young pup by his due to the fact of them being ambushed by dragons. and raised curiously by dragons aka being found by the leading Matriarch, Desmona, a fey dragon of the highest regard and patriarch, Theramis, a stoic prismatic dragon; of all dragons in equestria. He was kept around by his foster parents to well make up for their infertility for a while till they had a daughter. Also to find them gems but meanwhile inherently picking up the dragon language as well as being the only diamond dog who can successfully use magic due to the consumption of a unstable gem infused with mana from what he called the life stream. During his life with his dragonic foster parents, they sold him for gems to be used a toy for almost anything close to unspeakable things...for example demeaning tasks and well..stress relief... But to him, he was was making his parents happy so he lived and dealed with it but never truly knowing the feeling of family or real wholesome love. Soon closing his heart off and hardening it to Iron so it could never be broken or harmed by any pony or being.
After being left behind by his own people, tricked by his own "people", sent to find more gems and crystals but was left behind during the great dragon migration. He soon wandered the land where he was, after a while, caught by the royal guardsmen at first for just being a diamond dog but before that doing magic for some young fillies who were trying to get high up fruit from a tree. Before he was taken to the dungeon was aken in by Luna and was taken to the school of magic to hone his magic, privately to not scare the others or well...That was what he was told by his head masters and teachers. After his private graduation, and after a lot of book reading in the royal library under the cover of a cloak as well as shadow, Now goes around canterlot and ponyville doing odd jobs and other things to make a living. As a jack of all trades and hopes to understand the meaning of friends and other such great things.

I've been wanted to get a picture of him for the longest time and finally I got a chance to have ben draw him. I finally fixed his story and added somethings if I feels like adding more I shall but do feel free to ask if you want to know more or something.
