This was something that farorenightclaw did a few days ago for those of us who are survivors of rape and assault (you can find the original template here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/11541930/ if you want to do one for yourself or a friend who is a survivor of rape or assault). This was done for me by the talented xiaomao due to me not having the skills for something like this.

Yes I am a rape survivor, but I am a male rape survivor who was gang raped repeatedly by at least 15 men over a 5 day period after one of them slipped a date rape drug in my drink, which, thankfully I don't remember much of. What I do remember is me trying to fight off all these men as they stripped me of my clothing and began using me to sate their desires. After coming to in a hospital with tubes down my throat, I was released and went to a police station to file a rape report and was summarily laughed out of the police station because...
Men DO NOT get raped, Men only rape.It was then that I knew it was going to up to me alone to take care of myself and somehow learn to live with what happened and to realize that those who raped me will never pay for their crime against me. I have never talked about what happened all those years ago until 6-7 years ago after my now deceased partner learned the hard way about my suppressed memories of that unfortunate incident.

Please go and give both farorenightclaw and xiaomao your pageviews, watches, love, shouts, faves, love, comments and if they are doing them, commissions, and when you do tell them that ainoko sent you their way.

I know, the difference between 1989 and now when it comes to what protections men have when a crime like this happens is like night and day. Something that I and others in my position didn't have.

I know it still still happens, but we need to make it through each day the best we can, and don't let what happened bring us down.

It was a few guys. But as I learned back then, men raping men was something the police ignored thus giving those rapists complete impunity. Today it is a different story as the police are slowly starting to realize that men can be raped by both men and women and are doing something about it.

I was a week shy of 22, in 1980, when I was dragged into the alley behind a gay bar and raped by three guys. They left me doubled over a trash can. The bartender came out after and said, "Oh, it was you this week, huh? Come on in, I'll buy you a drink."

To my knowledge, the same three guys repeated this performance with someone every week for more than a year, with complete impunity.

Ironically, perhaps, I was date-raped ten days ago. It was my first experience that's helped me get through this second one. Truth told, I'm still shaky, but I'm still going.

This is what a rape survivor looks like.

*hugs* And I am pretty sure that like me, you would have been laughed out of the police station back then for reporting your rape. Today, men have more resources at their fingers than we did, something that I am glad about as it means people are realizing that physical crimes between the sexes is not just male guilty of assaulting the woman, but the woman assaulting the man or woman (or man) assaulting another woman (or man).

Yes you are a rape survivor as is me and anyone who was raped and didn't let that crime keep them down.

I do have to say that I think being in the military when this happened was a godsend as I had a good sense of discipline to fall back on as well as friends who were by my side the first few months for moral support. I shudder to think how things would have gone had I not had all that at my disposal back then.

I remember hearing some dumb bitch talk about rape in health class who said men don't get raped and I called that broad a "stupid bitch".  I even reiterated this when I brought up the issue of women doing it to men and her answer was "womeon don't rape, they only seduce."  so big balls for living, dude

Thanks. As I said to Tarotwolf, I think it was the military that kept me from doing something stupid to myself.

Well, Consider this, It's a blank slate that people just... color over with their own character. It kind of is a meme in its own right. And it's done a lot and posted everywhere, you know?
Ainoko

I see, but this is one the better ones then as it brings awareness to what a rape survivor looks like

People know what rape survivors look like. They look like normal people that were forced into having sex.
In my opinion, You really don't need to tell people what they look like: People already know what rape is, and how it affects people. As a society, people don't like rape at all, even going so far as to actually outright hate it and treat rapists as worse than murderers.
The thing is though, You're preaching it on a site that depicts fantasy children and teens being drawn either having sex (Statuary rape) or being sexually assaulted. Not to mention you, yourself have posted some rape stuff too. Everyone on here knows what it is, and that it's bad, and what a rape victim looks like, because some people on this site HAVE BEEN RAPED TOO. The same goes for Furaffinity too.
It is a useless meme in my opinion. It doesn't help when almost ALL of these have them wearing only a shirt. Just sayin'.

People know what female rape survivors are, I still get people telling me today that a man can never be raped or that a woman can rape. Why? Because they are under the misconception that such things can happen. If this makes even one person change their world views about rape and other common misconceptions, then I have done my job.

We do not have these kinds of things in canada, and in my own personal experience, male rape survivors are not shrugged off or swept under the rug. Don't say that in general there isn't a case or two about males being raped charging women or men who've raped them, that's ignorant.
