Well thinking about Warhammer 40k
I realized there is no chain axe, chain sword equivalent to a warhammer, sure there are thunder hammers and power weapons but no motorized heavy hammers. I did hear about a rocket boasted hammer in one of the books but that seemed so limiting. and since I love to bring the hammer down I went to see what I'd like for a motor hammer. I thought of this. The hammer is based some what on the Tricone Roller design of rock drill bits.

this is my own rough mock up but I think it could work and I'm tempted to try and build it

admit it this thing would be scary comming at you with its grinding teeth and roaring engine

Ouchie! That's not only original, but from here on out no self-respecting steampunk Dwarf can be seen without one. As for Ordo Malleus, they'll need 10 gross ASAP. And the Astartes are already outbidding them.  :D

By any game system I'm familiar with this thing is a paradox; a blunt, crushing weapon with armor-piercing ability. That should blow some fuses.

Sadly I can't think of a way for you to make a well-deserved buck or two out of it. White Dwarf has a bad rep. They would just say "ours!" without even a thank you. I guess you could line up some customers if the design pans out a doable.

I would really like to see some artist's conception of this in a melee. But I'm too broke for a commission.

I'm working on a story involving the presidential campaign  of Clint T. Lou after sweeping into office at the head of the new third party (the Elder Party) and one of his changes it to replace the secret service with a Massachusetts based PMC called Devils Reef Industries, run by a Major Marsh.   I could see an armored deep one carrying a grind hammer on a wet work assignment.   I might have to talk to pyromancy about that

You sir have a very strange imagination. What a wonderful place it must be to play in.

thanks,  I'll admit it gets crowded in here,  I wish I could spend all day working on my props or stories.   I need to research a little more on oz and wonderland for the war between the two.  and my zombie apocalypse needs pruning as well as my fantasy ww2 mash up (I have a ton of great scenes planned out including a aerial battle between a Naz fighter drake and his goblin machine gunner and two British elves on pegis back but nothing I can use as a plot for a proper story)

if only I could keep from getting distracted to maybe put one of my novel ideas together I'd be able to sell it

All I can give you is the advice you probably have already heard; focus on the story closest to ready to go and put everything else on the back burner. Schedule the time and don't walk away until something, no matter how random, is on paper (or in a saved file these days). Above all never, never, never listen to anyone who says you cannot do it - that includes your lazy-ass other self!

Think professional. The old publishers want a good first chapter and a solid outline. That will give you something to look at and haunt you into finishing it.

No I'm not a writer. I have worked with and around some over the years.

One of the things I'm planning on doing in the short run anyway is getting a key board for my tablet.....  I cant type on the software keyboard it just doesn't feel natural, and my lap top is to heavy to lug around since I'm trying to loose weight with 2-3 hour walks daily  having something to type on during my rest breaks will help.

the other thing is we just finished construction of a new chicken coop here but we won't be getting any chickens till next spring.  I stash a chair out there and I then have a place I can disappear too for a few hours uninterrupted writing.

My zombie story is the most fully developed I've got a opening chapter half done,  basic plot in my head  and my zombie rules well developed (my own zombie rules and reanimation system)

For the Oz/Wonderland war I have the impetus of the story plotted out and mixing things up like having the mad tea party be ex patriot ozzites who were working as a resistance movement in militant wonderland, and the plans for how Alice's army forms a beach head in Oz  but I need to do alot more reasearch before I move forward...

That's the spirit. Get a plan and stick to it.
