I'm curious what do you do with the failed attempts at the small canvas or do you like practice for hour before attempting such a small canvas? seriously dude to have such detail and accuracy in such a small amount of space is incredible. and as I look very closely at the eyes and mouth seeing them tiny lines, I'd imagine a drop of paint would be greater then the line to even begin with. everytime I see one of these my mind is blown

You're so nice! Well, I just set loose, really. I do get to try some thin pencil lines, but not too much.. even kneading erasers can't complete fix an overworked canvas. And then I ink 'n paint.. the trick is to not mess up. A little mistake just changes things, that's okay. So, I don't have any fouled canvases, thankfully. But really, thanks. I'm glad you like my tiny ponyings. :3

I'm just amazed you can do such detailed stuff with a small canvas. even if you get the chance to erase I'd imagine that would pretty much wipe out everything forcing you to start over. it's good that you are able to do this with little to no mistakes it proves how great your skills are. I know your great with the fluffy style (and I love this style) but I am sure if you wanted you could do some insanely detailed life like picture if you wanted.

Well, to be fair, once I start sketching I can recreate the lines easily since it's already stored in my head. The real danger comes with the ink, this primer also doesn't hold the pigment that securely so that's the ultimate danger; washing it all over the canvas when it's time to paint.
Thank you, again, I appreciate your kind enthusiasm. I think everyone can do what they want if they want it badly enough (within a semblance of reason). I've done a few heavily detailed pieces, but it's not as exciting for me as it is to convey an idea with just a few lines and soft colours.

Whereas if you really wanted to, you would've drawn a thousand such pictures and wouldn't be at all intimidated by the prospect of rendering a little fluff pony! ;D
