I have done some 3d-modeling. Goat was my first character model which I animated too. I'm amateur with 3d and my skills are developing slowly because I like drawing so much more. n_n'

I apologize my vague reply, I didn't get your question right and like I've described above I'm still novice in 3d arts. :')
On the fox there is Lambert diffuse, CookTorr Specular and no lights, I have just taken screenshots and that soft edge is result of photoshop's feather selection. In 3dsMax I believe to have some kind of understanding about lighting but blender is still total mystery to me! However, seems like a good program and for free is, of course, the very best. Hope I get better answers to you this time. ^^
