A few months back, I had received this little doodle via snail-mail from

CyberCornEntropic

for something I could help him with. He also sent this scan, if I was OK with it being posted, which, as you can see, I am. :)

Below is his explanation:

"

Attached is a scan of "Holy Hwaffis!" (slightly modified), made before I mailed it to you. Like much of your gallery, it has a Creative Commons of BY-NC-SA.
About the original, Falypti was done up in Floyd Gottfredson's earlier style as used with Mickey Mouse. It was also my first marker piece. I hope you like it.

A talking monkey is a human.
On an episode of "Keeping up appearances" the bone-idle Onslow said "According to Open University, 90% of our genes are identical to those of monkeys ! So, how come I wake up wanting a cigarette instead of a banana ?"

Of course! The most evolved primate during the age of the leptictidiums were small monkeys, thus the frame of reference, hence I got the joke when I got it in the mail. :)

In an old Olson & Johnson movie, "Hellzapoppin'" I think, a rifle was fired and a bear looked out of a tree and said "Ha ha ! You missed me 1 You need glasses !"
Down below, a hunting dog said to another "Imagine that ! A talking bear !"
I haven't seen this movie in years,decades ....
