Stage 4: Depression
"You seem to have no idea with what truly happen to your brother years ago so welcome to stage 4" said the shadow man he took Shadow to a flash back. "Where am I?" asked Shadow he was outside a castle it was night and he also notice this was Edenia. He saw a woman she had a coat that cover he body and her face she left a basket in front of the castle she knocked three times and then she ran away. Shadow looked in the basket and saw a baby he was black with purple stripes, "Rain!" Shadow didn't knew it was him he was so confused now. "What you are seen is the illusion threw Rain's past, present, and future" the shadow man said but Shadow couldn't see him. Someone came out of the castle it was a squirrel he saw the baby in the basket and didn't hesitate to pick him up and took him inside the castle. Shadow was about to open the door to follow him but he went threw it, "Wow?" Shadow almost fall but he manage to keep his balance, "You don't need to open doors this is all just a flash back" said the shadow mans voice, "Yes I understand" said Shadow. The squirrel was brown color his eyes were yellow and he had some closthing that was clear that he was the king. He put the basket next to a female squirrel she was white with blue eyes and had a red beautiful dress witch mean she was his queen, "What have you brought there Charles?" asked the white squirrel, "Analy there was a baby in front of the entrance I guess someone left it" said Charles, "That's terrible" Analy grabbed baby Rain and held him close against her chest, "Ohhh dear who would abandon you in such a place?" she asked kissing his forehead. "I know let's adopt him" said Analy, "You sure Analy?" asked Charels, "Ofcourse, he will be our handsome little prince" said Analy she was so happy to have Rain now. "See I told you that Rain's life wasn't do hard as mine, but why would he want to stay in the other dimension so much?" asked Shadow, "That's because you haven't seen anything yet, this is only the begingining of everything." said the shadow man, "Well what turned out so bad?" asked Shadow. The shadow man skipped a few years later, Shadow saw the castle didn't change much but he saw two kids running around. One was Rain, Shadow could tell that one quick and the other was a black squirrel with yellow eyes "Rain, Kanalo come here" called out the same white squirrel they both run to there mother, "Yes mom?" asked both, "I came here to tell you about your father's surprise he said he be able to get you two what you always wanted" said Analy, "Does that mean we get to also go the circuse?" asked Kanalo, "Yes" she smiled, "But you will come right mommy?" asked Rain, "Yes my handsome little pri- darling" said Analy as she almost said the other word but quickly changed it. Rain felt sad his mom use to always call him her handsome little prince but ever since Kanalo was born. "So she stop calling him that ever since the other was born thus giving the there true son the throne but I still don't see the big throng here do what at least your parents still love you" said Shadow, "Your not understanding Shadow you need to open your eyes and realize the truth" said the shadow man he skip a little but not too much. "I don't get it mama does papa hate me so much?" asked Rain. Shadow was in Rain's room when he was a kid he was in the bed sitting there speaking with Analy, "No honey your father loves you" said Analy, "Then why did he chose Kanalo as the next king of Edenia?" asked Rain, "It's something he wanted" said Analy, "But I am the oldest should that be giving to the oldest?" asked Rain. Rain seemed upset because of his father's decision on choosing his brother instead of him, "So then it's true he does hate me" said Rain lowering his ears, "No Rain it's not it's just -sigh- honey I didn't wanted to tell you this but your adopted" said Analy. Rain stayed silent his ruby red eyes widen, "A-adopted?! You mean I'm not your son?" asked Rain his ears were lowered and he was very upset. "So he figure that now?" asked Shadow, "But that's not the only thing Rain became depress because of that but after that day things got worst during the years after Analy died" said the shadow man. He skipped to a few years later when Rain was practically a young adult he was mad he went to Charles chamber he opened the door in a smash, "You!" yelled Rain pointing at Charles who was talking with a guard, "Rain! What are you doing?" asked Charles, "Your such a two face, I know what you have done" said Rain, "What do you mean speak clearly!" yelled Charles, "I know you don't accept me as part as your family!" yelled Rain. "Let me guess the same things about his stepbrother taking the throne?" asked Shadow, "Not exactly" said the shadow man, "Rain that is crazy your are my son" said Charles, "That's not what the family tree says, I know that you only put Kanalo because is your true only son and keep me apart as if I didn't exist you also didn't add me to your testament how you didn't ass me and only your true son" said Rain, "Rain stop acting like a small kid you know very well that I love since you are my son" said Charles, "No I am a stranger to you, no wonder you left the throne to Kanalo because how can you leave your kingdom to some stranger huh?! You also have a back up for that" said Rain, "Rain that is enough" said Charles. Shadow understood what Rain was passing through he felt rejection, "I was suppose to be your son, I know if my mother was still alive she would include me in every part of her life and you barely even give me attention you were always behind Kanalo as if he was the only thing in your world and I was left with rejection" Rain turned on his back and started to walk away. Shadow went behind him he tried to stop Rain but Rain was nothing but a illusion unable to see, smell or feel you it was like if he was a ghost. Shadow follow Rain, he looked truly mad in a way it reminded him of himself. Rain grabbed a box and smash it against the floor, "You want your tradition Charles well there it is!" yelled Rain, after a moment of anger and despair he calmed down. "Rain?" called out the black squirrel as he approached him, "What happen?" asked Kanalo. Rain didn't answer, "The same thing as always wasn't it?" asked Kanalo, Rain turned his back on Kanalo. Kanalo put his hand on Rain's shoulder, "Rain your my brother it doesn't matter how things are or if we are from a different family" said Kanalo. Rain slapped Kanalo's hand away, "You don't know a thing what it's like, I don't need you and I don't need your father either" said Rain he walked away. Shadow stared at Rain he never expected that from him, "Yes he said those words but he couldn't predict what happened next" said the shadow man, "What happen then?" asked Shadow, "Go three the first door you see there" said the shadow man. Shadow open the door to see his brother knelled in front of a coffin looking at a corpse inside. Shadow walked next to Rain and looked inside, it was Kanalo. Rain look devastated, Shadow felt bad for him, "Rain......... I'm so sorry" said Shadow, Rain got up and walked out of the room. Shadow states at Rain as he left with a heavy heart and looked inside the coffin again, "Your brother though he didn't needed anyone in his life, later on when a war was made, Kanalo was killed during the process and so Rain could only live with the agony of what he said to his brother and was also given Edenia as the next king" said the shadow man. "So after that he got what he wanted?" asked Shadow, "No all he wanted was to be treated like part of the family not aside, Rain was a good king but he grew up alone when he discover he still had a bother and that was you" said the shadow man. Shadow went to a door that was shining white and opened it there he saw Rain like his old self but his eyes were still there that in other words mean he wasn't killed, he was sitting in his chair and he had a map of all the Realms he was concentrated he was holding a little diamond on a chain. He moved it in circles, "What is he doing?" asked Shadow, "He is looking for you" said the shadow man. Shadow went closer to Rain, "Rain?" asked Shadow, Rain suddenly looked up but then he continue with his technique. "I'm so sorry Rain.... I never knew you, I never knew all you wanted was not to be alone" said Shadow, "He can not hear you he is just a illusion from a pas memory" said the shadow demon, "No he is not he is my brother and I know he is listening, Rain you can't keep bonding yourself to this hurtful memories" said Shadow. Rain stopped all of the sudden, "Rain! Let it all go for me!"said Shadow, "How?" asked Rain, "Because your never alone, you have someone to lean on" said Shadow, Rain eyes let out tears he couldn't move he was in the same position, "Let it all go" said Shadow, "I can't" Rain couldn't let go. Shadow closed his eyes and when he reopen them he found himself in a different room, "Where am I?" asked Shadow, "Your in your brother's fourth stage" said the shadow man, "Where is he then?" asked Shadow.
