Melinda hails from a tribe of ice dragons from the north. The purple markings on her body and the purple coloration of her wings show that she is of royal blood, and is the heiress to the clans throne, even if she doesn't act like it. The sapphire on her neck is an heirloom passed down by females of the royal bloodline and also acts as an indicator of her status.
