I've started building a prop plasma gun.

I used a small block of 2x4 for the body, a piece of scrap wood cut at an agle for the pistol grip, I bolted one to the other using strips cute from an aluminum can. I wrapped the handle in duct tape I screwed some chloroplast to the back and bottom and then covered the top and sides in pva foam bolted to the block.

I'll be adding the barrel later, but I wanted your opinion what lights should I use for the plasma, red, blue or green?

The color pictures show green coils marking the accelerator mechanism. But red accelerator coils would match the rest of the gear better than the old "Chapter Approved" look. That would be the glowing portion of the gun. For the barrel interior to show a recent shot, a diffused red glow would work.

Warhammer seems to use blue  or green, Halo uses green  I don't want to over use the red though,  I'll add some green and blue led's to the cyborg head

Even though I'm using  a lot of warhammer inspiration its not a strictly war hammer build so until now i hadn't even gone to look at the standard war hammer plasma pistol

but looking at it (and finding I have a piece I can use perfectly for the front)  I'm going to be using that.  its a better look then the staged barrel I was planning,   I think I'll stick with ork red for the spark chambers,  and stick one or two orange led's down the barrel for the spent shot...

Forgot to add; find a noisy pancake fan to add cooling sound FX. Try to mount it so it can rattle without really coming loose.
