I've never actually been one for megaman games myself. Being super skills tests, they never really appealed to me until around X.. and even then twas meh. I had more fun playing Legends than anything.
Nevertheless I have always, always been a fan of the character, his designer and the designs of Megaman's incarnations. That is enough for me to want to back this game; to support the developers in what they're doing and encourage them to keep on doing it. Getting a game from it is merely a bonus. |3

I am hopeful they follow through and actually put a new spin on the classic gameplay. I'm an optimist, so I went and backed them after waffling for a bit.

Some of my classmates talked about that as well, since, if it wasn't doing something original they didn't believe it to even be interesting. Originally I wasn't sure why they didn't appreciate it as much, but since they're all game dev students, I could understand it when i thought of it from an art world perspective.
It would be the equivalent of, say, some artists from HardBlush or ClubStripes deciding to take on a project doing the exact same thing they were already doing at those sites, using the exact same approach and similar characters but under a different name. You can only tread the same road so many times before it flattens out. There wouldn't be much to peak interest if they didn't bring some fresh new ideas to the table.
.... well... that and if porn wasn't interesting enough... haha
Hehe, I see. Good, good~ ^^ Some of my classmates talked about that as well, since, if it wasn't do
No, I'm pleased enough that there will be a Linux version. And I don't have any game console, so why bother to donate more? I don't feel like to donate $20 to get a full version when I know that I could snag it for $5~10 later.

But that's not the only thing you'll get for donating. x3
Being a backer mmeans also having input on the game's creation over the next year. The anticipated release is spring 2015, which means between October 1st 2013 till then backers will be getting exclusive access to content, answering polls, allowed beta test access and given their own unique Mighty number, as well as being able to expect a digital OST, art book and whatnot just for donating.
And considering that getting access to the backer forums alone to watch the project as it comes along over the year is only $5, the only thing you'd be doing by not donating is leaving yourself out of the fun just to wait for the release in over a year. \3

I suppose you'll also be able to keep up with it out of curiosity for the next year by just listening to their podcasts anyhow, since they're still going to be doing public things~
Hehe, I know that feeling. |3 I suppose you'll also be able to keep up with it out of curiosity for
