The craziness goes geometric
so yush, obama, another antiwar candidate, who only goal that can be accertained is to make a islamic brotherhood type caliphate reappear, as another superstate, next to the EU, the forming north american union, etc, cuz its easier to control 10 states rather than 200.

so why are we shipping weapons illegally to syrian rebels via al aqaeda (who it really looks like its been our puppets the whole time since we financed them 30 yrs ago)...they did the libya raid which we stood down on, which are presumably in control of libya now.  And the bengazi thing was some arms shipment which maybe our ambassador said, wtf and got killed over.  Yeah its in the news peeps, but not the mainstream, they dont want to hear about such things.

So now the rush to war with Syria, because we must have continual war.  Its the bread and circuses of Rome theory.  the war is your circus.

but why?  al quaeda is the rebels, and we want to support them?  um why?  UN reports claim the rebels had the chemical weapons and one attack is conveniently staged when the inspectors are there?  do you think any sane monarch would do that?  and then threats russia, china, and iran will step up responses...

so why do we even care?  to help rebels who are our enemies, cuz 'bama says so.

who lines up to support him?  mccain, kerry?  really all former Presidential candidates...if this doesnt point to the fact they are bought and paid for....what thinking person can, yes lets start a war supporting our "enemy" that we have been funding for years apparently, to overthrown a government, why?  why why why

and the president has no authority to do so, ONLY CONGRESS CAN START A WAR.  Course thats been ignored for 50 years

so protest.  spread the word if you think this is yet another pointless war baseless war they are dragging us into

http://yiffox.com/yiffadven/no-war/

steal my icon plz and encourage others to use it ... be friggin awesome to see these everywhere

well spread the word, really, they wanna put al aqaeda in charge to your north, our sold our politicians, the only thing i can see why is they want a united arab state under their control, which is why Obama freaked when they ousted the muslim brotherhood he helped install in Egypt below you that renounced your peace treaty...this does not bode welll for you guys...and then gave Libya to them also, which was sending arms to Syria next, not a plan?

I agree. [Edited: "picture was changed"]
I think  the syria part still is misleading. Now it could be understood as this would only affect syria. Make it "No War" - "Peace in Syria".

I believe that war should not be there on the world. A lot of wars are fought because of religious reasons or ethnic differences. We must start and approach the differences we have by lending a hand and step forward to reach out to people who are different. We must not try to change others or think of their believe as evil but we need to accept them and learn how they really are.

ugh, not lets keep it simple, THIS war, oppose it, makes no sense to get involved in their civil war especially when the "rebels" our so called enemies, the guys weve been paying for 30 yrs, are the good guys now.

and please dont bring your religious bigotry to muh page.  There is not a conclusively religious war that I can think of, ever, this is voltaire's propaganda, brought to you by the same people who claimed the roman empire fell due to christianity, except well...the roman empire was still over there till the 1500s ...point point in constantinople.

goes back to my general theory of everything you know is wrong. XD  (which i developed when I was 17)

and no disrespect, its the history you have been taught, crap as it is.  Up until 6 months ago, I thought Lincoln freed the slaves, till that movie came out and he was a bloody tryant who wants to ship black people over seas to Liberia.

Movies aren't always right....
.. so are not the media. (If you look at media from one country alone you will always have propaganda.)
I am not talking about religious wars that were ment to bring their own believe to them (like in middle age).
Also I did not mean religion alone but also ethnic differences (different life styles and believes).
But if you look on wars in the past years, the main reason for wars (and I count terrorism as war in this matter as well) is because of "they are evil". I mean that the word "axis of evil" exists is a proof of this.
You can take the problems with Israel and Palistina in the last decades as example but there are lot more.
Sure there are other reasons as well (power, money, oil just to name a few of them) but if you look on how they select their enemies it is most of the time a country with a different believe or ethnic background.

But I do not want to bring this in into your statement here. I just think that we (all around the world) need to aproach each other with love instead hate.

much of those wars aren't religious though, possibly ethnic, but that may be too simple an answer also.  Usually its been our group is in power and we have to diminish other groups to stay in power and they may or may not fight back.  The israeli-arab thing is largely as they feel these are european invaders to "their" land.

the only reason the rebels(which are fighting for the people) have no choice but get help from Al-Qaeda which is a military group. they need more soldiers to fight but they aren't on good terms with them after a event happen between them and the rebels as a whole ISN'T Al-Qaeda itself.

"so why do we even care?"
http://www.asianews.it/files/img/SYRIA_-_Violences_and...

if you think helping isn't important because "its not our problem" than our people today became very selfish.

so you think us flying bombers over, chosing a side and dropping bombs on them is going to help or greatly increase such deaths?  which in the end, they probably won't like us for our aid.
heropie
10 years, 7 months ago
Al-Qaeda will hate us but rebels will care for the help.

in war, there will always be death on both sides but we're aiding the side that needs it the most. they're fighting for the people. these was ex-cops and former soldiers who formed the rebels. they seen what they was doing to the people and left the other side to aid the people.
Soldiers are people who fight for the people. not kill/hurt them.

the help being bombs thrown down causing civilian deaths?  yes your bombs killed my children, but thank you, america?

and i'm beginning to doubt if al aqaeda was ever our enemies or just cia pawns, we did start them.  we helped them overthrow libya.  Our actions gave them a presence in Iraq when they werent there before...so yeah what our government says has always been bulls33t
ksharbaugh

Dropping bombs on them and they'll thank us for it?  The French did... so did the Dutch, Belgians, Poles, Yugoslavians, Greeks, and every other nationality whose nations we bombed in order to help drive a tyrant's army out of their homes.

And Libya... if you'd been paying attention you'd be aware that the driving force in the rebellion against Gaddafi was the Libyan people themselves with al Qeada's allies coming in far later in the fight.  Which is precisely what's happened in Syria.

And if you'd been paying attention you'd also be aware that al Qeada has been openly attacking the Syrian rebels as well as Assad's forces.

I dont think we wiped out any of those countries cities....we didnt firebomb france, just germany.  Bombs were used against armies, and this isnt a defensive war against an aggressor.  It's getting involved in a civil war we should have no interest in.  Why is it our business?  Is american life which can be shot down, they have 1000s of antiaircraft missles and Iran could get involved, as they know theyre next....then  russia and china aids their allies.

My biggest question, right now at least, is if we are at 'war' with alqaeda, then why aren't people calling what Obama's trying to do what it really is? If we're at war with them and Obama helps them he's helping the enemy in time of war; treason. That's almost literally the definition yes?

Love your post btw! B3

Now if all the Syrian rebels were members of al Qeada, what you said would be relevant.  But it isn't.  The Syrian people were fighting and dieing to drive Assad from power before al Qeada ever got involved.

The reality?  Al Qeada is actively fighting both Assad and the Free Syrian Army, They're only focusing most of their attacks on Assad's forces because he's the stronger of the two... but once he's gone they'll throw everything they have into crushing the pro-democracy elements of the FSA.  And with people like you doing everything they can to deny support to the FSA, al Qeada has a strong chance of success.
Yiffox

or we can stay out of it, not give arms to either party and not try to overthrow yet another government....so you admit that aiding the rebels, which may not be better than any other group will probably be overthrown and another country goes to al aqeda and all arms that we send there will be there's.
ZincChloride
10 years, 7 months ago
Couldn't have said it better. But to add a little... The falacy and absent minded logic that should do something or not based on the idea that 'not all rebels are alqeada' is a direct misrepresentation of arguement as well as a method of false arguement to combat sound logic like 'staying out of it completely.' It's very similar to the idea that it's ok it the Assad govt. kills 100k people over the long term but if many people die in a short period of time by a bio weapon then we should be all up in arms and support the president absent mindedly with out blind emotions and not actually think about anything else. Kinda like the '08 and '12 elections. 'Lets all vote based on what we FEAL like and what WE want for ourselves and not use economic reason, logic, and sound principle in anything.'

I personally would prefer politics to stay in journals rather than in the submissions box with other artwork.

to each his own, but art and protest go waaaaaaaaaaaaay back, pretty much every novel is someone bitching about something ...and I have done protest art about FA before too lolz

Why is this on a site specifically meant for Furry artwork?
Yiffox

it's called an icon
CerealKat

Your talking and making a big statement that has nothing to do with Furry artwork on a Furry site. It doesn't matter if it's an icon or not. This isn't the place for this.

Then you would have the same feelings toward Starling for bringing up his "Australia is fucked" journal about Tony Abbot being newly elected in Austraila? There in his entire journal everyone is bashing Conservatives for what they believe in without a thought in economics, logic, morals, principles etc. For example I'll take and imply the arguement about welfare... It's a principle that stealing is wrong yes? much less a law. So for those that are pro-welfare you argue that govt, should tax everyone and dole out welfare when needed? What happens when you give someone more then they give? You end up taking from one and giving to the other. And since taxation is confiscatory it becomes theft. Not to mention giving govt. aid to those who abuse it. Conservatives believe in charitable welfare and helping only those who seriously need it and that govt. should only create an environment for economic growth. You want proof? Detroit, California, Newyork, Hawaii. Meanwhile Texas is doing pretty good yeah?
Yiffox

i think they were saying journals were fine, just not art...and its not furry related, which is their opinion, but if a war blows up, irl furries will be going to war too

I think it's pathetic like a liberal being anti-2nd amendment but supporting giving guns, bombs, and jets to our enemies DURING TIME OF WAR like Obama is wanting to do.
