With a thunderous crack, Nightmare Moon is reborn, and Canterlot falls into eerie silence. An entire world collectively holds it's breath for the unfolding of this final chapter.
His prize firmly ensconced upon his brow, the Lord of Shadows turns his attention to the creature he thought he had already crushed. Bleached bones and wet sinew groan breaking the deathly quiet as the beast moves his massive head to gaze upon the challenger on the hill. She has changed, though her gravity was that still of the Moon Daughter, she now radiated with a much different power. It gave him pause.
"Return what you have taken, and I will allow you to leave unharmed." The tiny black figure in resplendent moon silver hissed between feral teeth. No, this was no longer the Moon Daughter, but something else.
"Child...." Feted breath spilled from the Lord of Shadows gaping maw, his jaw spreading wide to expel his air. Bones rattled sending clouds of debris down his mountainous flank, the lost souls of gullet screamed and wailed. "You can't hope to stop me...." His unblinking dead eyes fixated on her.
Nightmare Moon's jaw retracted in a hideous smile. A battle it would be then, for her sister, for all of Equestria. "We shall see Lord of Shadows." She shook her sculpted black flesh, causing her armor to chime like a cascade of tiny bells. It had been so long since she had last unchained her power. She had made this world bow to her once, and this creature would follow suit. "Nightmare Moon is no child."
*****Yup, ponies again... An entire day of design required to sculpt the Lord of Shadows. I was told this required some narration other than my spouting off about Luna. I may have yet one more drawing for this series.*****
