Character Sheet for Aurelia Zender
Background/History
Aurelia’s mother is a member of a secret society called “Kazza” (Old High German for “cat”). The Kazza have their origins in medieval Europe. Some women joined forces as they realized that in war defenseless women are killed. So they decided to learn how to defend themselves. But armed women were frowned upon in the Middle Ages or – even worse – regarded as witches, so the women had to keep their ambitions secret. They chose the cat as their heraldic animal since cats were demonized in the Middle Ages for being double-faced, untrustworthy and dangerous, even though they were still useful as they kept rodents in check. The women said that they were just like these cats – useful, but demonized, just because they refused to accept their fate.
They learned how to fight, even geared their fighting style to cats. The first idea was just to protect themselves and their families, but over the years as mothers taught their daughters what they knew the Kazza became more confident. Now just defending themselves wasn’t enough any longer. They wanted to get more out of their skills, so they started to do jobs, mainly killing people for an appropriate amount of money. They never asked questions about their targets. If the pay was adequate it was totally fine for them.
In order to improve their abilities they learned how to use poison and a Kazza never hesitates to use her womanly wiles to get close to a target.
Although the Kazza still conceal their affiliation secret from the male members of their families (the female blood relatives normally are Kazza as well), Aurelia’s father found out about his wife being a Kazza. He was shocked and when Aurelia was born and he figured out that his daughter should become a Kazza as well, he tried to save her from her fate and kidnapped her. But her mother tracked him down and got her daughter back. She only let him live because she still had feelings for him but he had to promise to leave and never come back. All Aurelia has ever known about her father is that he left her and her mother when she still was a baby.
As Aurelia grew up she was trained to become a Kazza. The girl was very talented and finished her training at the age of 18.
Relatives/Family
Aurelia is an only child. Her father left her and her mother when he found out what Aurelia’s mother had planned for the child’s future (for details please see “Story”).

Appearance:
Aurelia has dark brown eyes and light brown hair with a tint of red which she either wears in a high ponytail or pinned up. She’s hardly ever seen wearing her hair loose.
Aurelia has very pale skin. She absolutely refuses to get tanned because for her, sunbathing is just a waste of time.
Aurelia has a slim and athletic figure.
Clothing
Her casual outfit consists of a pair of blue jeans, a black T-shirt, a black leather jacket, black boots.
Her battle outfit is all black (black’s the Kazza’s preferred color). It consists of a jumpsuit, gloves, forearm protectors, a harness with attached shoulder protectors, knee protectors and boots.

Aurelia’s main weapons are her two small axes. She also carries a grappling hook with her.
