This piece was commissioned by a retired Navy gentlemen who wanted a pair of Storekeeper Keys to hang from his rear-view mirror. The US Navy Storekeeper was one of the oldest Navy rankings, as it was established in 1916. They maintained ship or company military supply stores. Generally speaking, they dealt with anything obtained through the Naval Supply System and were referred to in rank as "SK6" or "Storekeeper 6" as opposed to "E6" or "Enlisted 6." Why am I using past-tense? As of 2009, "Storekeeper" is no longer recognized as a United States Navy Ranking. $10 covers S&H in the US, other symbols are available.
