gather round chillins, steve has a life lesson to share with you.

freedom of speech (or freedom of expression) isn't meant to be used an excuse (looking at you trolls) for something negative/hurtful that was said or done.

need an excuse to verbally, physically or sexually harass someone? you don't have one. period.

#RealTalk

for future reference plz nu argues on arts, is negative and having to hide or remove comments in most unsightly. (particularly if there's a novel worth of 'comment has been hidden by user' littering my draws.

I would say "what's to argue?" but I've seen too many argue with the truth itself no matter how clear it was.

Unfortunately(or fortunately depending on how you look at it), for true freedom of speech to occur, it means that all opinions or statements must be allowed, even if other people might be offended by them.

However just because someone has the right to speak, doesn't mean anyone else has to listen to them, and social shaming and casting out of the jerks is the best way to handle them anyway, as reacting to them just encourages them more.
