The dust storms from the past few days heralded the coming heavy rains, something that Svila and Fhedu both dreaded and looked forwards to. The good thing about the rains was that the ever oppressive dust would be washed out of the air for a few short weeks, the only thing bad about the rain would be the high humidity, something that gets under their fine scales making them stick together and itch. But Fhedu knew something about the rains that he knew his mate would love and make the discomfort from the rains pale in comparison, as it was something he just learned about a few days ago. A bright flash in the distance signaled that it was time for the two of them to on a little voyage of discovery. He got up and walked through their home looking for Svila before finding the young male resting in their bed.

"Come." He said. "Walk, surprise."

"Ok." Svila said getting up and donning his silks.

"No silks just skins and scales." Fhedu said, grinning at Svila's confusion as he led him out and into the swirling dust.

It wasn't long after they were outside that it started to rain. Fhedu smiled when Svila pressed close to him to share their warmth in the cold rain as the veil of dust on their bodies was washed away. An hour later they found themselves in an open field just as the rains ended.

"Lay" He said, pulling Svila down with him. "Watch. Enjoy."

He pulled the blue lizard hybrid close to his body ready to enjoy his lover's reaction to what was about to happen. Soon the green grass in the field began to change color as hundreds of thousands of flowers started blooming and filling the air with their sweet fragrances. He nibbled on Svila's neck, enjoying his lover's reaction to the sudden proliferation of flowers around them.

"Thanks." Svila said as he tilted his head back to kiss him. "Love?"

"Later, just enjoy"

Svila nodded as he turned around and cuddled up to him content to enjoy the wonders around them until the sun set.
