Came up with the idea for this guy recently primarily just started out as some free drawing and well this is what turned out. A new distant human descendant. As always with new species they'll be a Codex entry and then info on the individual.

The AquSap are one of many human species inhabiting a Spiral arm of the galaxy. Hailing from the world Lestin they have adapted to be amphibious. Lestin has over 85% ocean coverage dotted with thousands of islands varying in size with the largest of which being half the size of Australia. Lestin also has a binary moon, A large moon with a smaller one which orbits it as the larger orbits the planet. This double moon makes for much stronger tides on Lestin. They are on average a foot taller than standard human stock due to their digigrade legs which end in thickly webbed feet that help propel them through the water. Their hands lack one digit and are partially webbed to aid in swimming. Beyond that their lung tissue has been altered to metabolize oxygen from both the air and water. Their eyes are enlarged and able to focus accurately while submerged. Submerging their vision they also possess a "Melon" similar to that found in Dolphins which is used for echo location. Socially the Lestins are a progressive forward thinking people with a mind for the long range goals of their species and their world. They often assist in planning out the terraforming and colonization process of new worlds for the United Human Systems. Beyond that Lestin receives many tourist per year due to it's large number of beaches. Their tourist trade does well and Lestin has a good percentage of non AquSap humans on the planet at anyone time. This has made the AquSap a very welcoming open species but also a private one at times. Two AquSap wishing to discuss something privately on a beach will switch to a language above most Human species range of hearing.

Tem'Esclin smiled as he swam off shore a short way from the beach. It was his day off and he'd taken the opportunity to get out to the beach and swim in the ocean for once. Out in the deeper water he saw many of his own kind under the surface enjoying themselves. AquSap of all ages playing in the deep. Above near the surface he saw many feet of various tourist who were enjoying the beach as well. One or two sets weren't even part of the human line. Tourist from another spiral arm. Tem swam up towards them breaking the surface and smiling at the sun shining down on him. He took a look at the sun seeing how low it was starting to get. He figured he should probably head back to the beach. Maybe grab something to eat from one of the seaside places he liked before heading home for a quite evening. He'd probably slip into his bed tank and relax on the soft Spong mattress as he watched something on the video link and then drift on off to sleep to the sounds of whales on his bed speaker. Of course as he walked out of the surf he spotted a friend coming out of the water and waved. Maybe he'd have dinner with a friend before heading home. It was always better than dining alone.

Well hope you guys liked the pic and the lil story and Codex. ^^

Thanks. Wanted to diverge significantly from the typical human form. As for the colors felt it'd go better with the ocean. Overall was pretty happy with this one.
