mmm. nice idea. your senses of perspective, proportion, and shading are good too. there are some anatomy and shaping errors, though, which i'm sure you already know about; and you could always provide more detail. i'm not a drafter, so i'm not going to suggest technical ways you might improve. but, whatever you do, please don't let your pictures lose their childlike, coloring-book charm. that's what makes them attractive. ...also, fantastic writing in the text bubble ^~

Pony anatomy is difficult enough without having to balance realism 'n stylism. Certainly with the legs that's a major factor. That said, the only truly intentional error is the one I made because it looked more wrong when I did it 'correctly'.. that's something I sometimes deal with when going for a cartoony feel. In this case I also purposefully went for this detail level - if it were closer up I would've done more, but I wanted that basic, lush nature feel. More suggestive than telling. That's how I like it, anyway.
I'm not really looking for suggestions on improving, anyway, so don't worry. I prefer feeling my way through it without subscribing to any additional pressures to be better.. I have enough of that in my life as it is. But thank you very much, of course.. I hope to paint enjoyable pictures as best I can. :3
