In my city, only pyrotechnicians are allowed. Private fireworks are (thankfully) no longer allowed. I think there is a fireworks display on at the harbour tonight or maybe 45 minutes north of here in the next town. Nanaimo (where i live) and Parksville usually trade off on who does fireworks at what events. :)
