Not too many folks remember the old toy line Rocks and Bugs and Things (known as RBT's to collectors) by a company called Ideal. Basically it consisted of rocks that turned into monsters and bugs with pinchers that come out when you squeeze their abdomen. When I was a kid, I thought they were cool, but not as cool as their "accessories"; little minifigures called Mordles. And it seems that I wasn't the only one, as these days vintage Mordles can run up to $60 for a single one!
Enter: One Doctor John Kent. He bought the rights to various Ideal properties, including the RBT's and is working with Onell Design http://www.onelldesign.com , the makers of the interchangeable Glyos, to bring them back! Friday June 28th the Mordles minifigures will be for sale here: http://www.themordles.com/
To celebrate, I made this custom piece with one of Kent's new Mordles (which I got early). Added bat wings, tusks, and changed the nose to a batty type nose. Hand sculpted the rest and the tree is a stick I found outside. Hand painted and clear coated.
