So besides the whole being-naked thing, I've been curious on trying out a little backstory to my character. The earliest was him being a pure Green mage of sorts, but lately that evolved to line up with the more traditional mechanic inclinations of Ivalician Moogles.
I sort of went with that! Young, inexperienced but promising mechanically-inclined Mog gifted with Mana, building toys powered with such.. So I went with a sort of Mechanic / Mage mix. :3 Here's him dressed in a Flintlock cannoneer role of sorts. :D
That's an interesting design and concept. For my moogle character, Rucryn, I have him as a young moogle from a small town. He loves machinery, especially for stuff used as weapons. Coming from a small mountain town, he was taught how to defend himself. With next to none magic ability and not comfortable with melee weapons, he takes up using a gun. He dreams of being able to go to a bigger town and be an apprentice to either a gunsmith or airship mechanic. He's purely a gunner/fusileer that might take up a second job in the future. He's pretty good with a pistol, just he lacks combat experience and the serious firepower that can even the odds against more dangerous beasties.
You are able to read his profile on my f-list. And seeing we have a lot in common, besides young moogle boys with guns, perhaps we could rp sometime. I'm still sort of developing mine. Since I don't get to RP much these days I haven't developed anything beyond a basic premise. :3
To elaborate on mine, my character was born with that gift of being able to use mana, but still fell to favoring mechanics. As he started tinkering he tried to learn to mingle the two, usually little silly ideas like Mana-powered gearworks, or Magic Cannons and smaller firearms. Though often his experiments end with amusingly disastrous results! Though on some occasion he does manage to shine in either department, his mana training is rudimentary at best and he's still somewhat of a promising apprentice. :3
