Character Description

A robot dog built by Tails. It serves many purposes, and can even transform into a hover-scooter flight mode.

Personality

SPOT's personality receives upgrades over the course of the series, but even from the start, the robot could be a bit of a wise-ass.

Background/History

SPOT was built around the start of the series. Tails built it to help find the Chaos Emeralds after several adventures where they had been needed to avert catastrophe.

The original SPOT was destroyed in battle with a Firepaw-controlled Guard. The current model is SPOT Mark 2.

SPOT. Thinking of an acronym relating to the robo-dog was murder. It stands for Sensor Puppy: Optical Transmitter. Told you it was murder. Ugh...

A character I am continually forgetting about... and I can't figure out why I wanted to do it, either. I guess Tails having his own robot is kind of neat. Yes, for those of you wandering in randomly, SPOT is a Sonic fancharacter; built by Tails. It is designed to sense various energy signatures, especially Chaos Emeralds. It also can locate anyone it has met before (like a robo-bloodhound) and has various gadgets concealed in its body, similar to Grounder from AoSTH.

During a recent episode of GeneX: the Series, SPOT's body was destroyed. However, his data had been uploaded to a new body: SPOT Mark 2. It looks the same, but has various upgrades, including a small amount of voice clips it can use to alert those around it (previously it could only communicate via text on its monitor, a point of great frustration for the robot)
