The secret past of a shadow
Sonic and Silver we're with Scourge who was still knocked out cold, Amy came in not so late in about time, "Sonic, Silver Sco-" Amy notice that Scourge on top of a rock, "Amy we need help Scourge is out cold" said Silver, "Stay back I will deal with this" said Amy. Sonic and Silver wen't out of the Flesh Pits to let Amy deal with Scourge alone, "Do you think he will be alright?" asked Silver, "I'm sure he will be fine, I can't help to think that Fleetway had done that to Scourge" Sonic mind wen't over and over, "He was going to take Scourge to the Tarkatan realm" said Silver, "How many realms are there?" asked Sonic, "Thousands" answered Silver, "There are many, Edenia, Earth Realm, Nether Realm, Outworld and more, well let's not talk about Realms what about you did you speak with Shadow?" asked Silver, "Yes but I had to lie to him, and told him I will be staying at Earth Realm" said Sonic, "Huge mistake" said Silver, "Why?" asked Sonic, "He will probably head to Earth Realm and check if you are there" said Silver, "He trust me Silver" said Sonic, "He made you think he trust you, Sonic what has happen to you have you been brain washed by that monster?" asked Silver, Sonic was getting angry he was tired of Silver's attitude, "He is changing ... I am changing him, he has left most of he's selfish ways" said Sonic, "Pure lies" said Silver, "You must have learned more of what happened in the beginning" said Silver poking Sonic hard in the chest witch seemed like a threat to Sonic. Sonic slap the hand away and punch Silver in the jaw making fly of and hit a tree, Silver got and charge at Sonic jumping and giving him a perfect kick on the face, "I don't to fight you Silver" said Sonic getting up, "And neither am I the bad guy, but if I have to teach you a lesson then so be it!" yelled Silver gettin into possition. Sonic yanked out he's steel folding fans ready to attack, "You two stop!" yelled Amy, Sonic and Silver calmed down and put there weapons away, "You two are a team but you are also friends" said Amy, Silver and Sonic stayed quiet, "Plus your team mate Scourge needs your support" said Amy, "How is he?" asked Sonic, "Well what Fleetway was doing wasn't for pleasure, he did it to knock Scourge out and let me say he did a good job, but with a little medicine I gave him he will be fine" said Amy, "What should we do now?" asked Silver, "Looks like the mission will have to wait for a while and Scourge needs plenty of rest I would say that you two search the whole forest just in case of intruders" said Amy, Sonic nod.
Shadow was in he's castle sitting on he's chair he couldn't stop thinking of Sonic and why he wanted to go back to Earth Realm? and more why did he tell him?. Shadow being accompany by he's maid Rouge, "Shadow would you stop worrying about Sonic" said Rouge, "I can't help it Rouge, I feel as if Sonic is hiding something from me" said Shadow, "Well then maybe he needs more prof that he can trust you Shadow, tea?" asked Rouge, "No thank you, also what more prof?" asked Shadow, "I don't know ask him for dinner or train with him take him on one of your missions" said Rouge, "That maybe a good idea to take Sonic out on a mission" said Shadow, "Then do it and see how it turns out" said Rouge.
Silver was running in the forest he wasn't as quick as Sonic nor Scourge not even close to Shadow's speed, but he was still searching. Lucky for him there was nothing nor demons nor shadow creatures, but he realized something a blue figure not too far, Silver stop and wen't between some trees it was Sonic, he was standing there without moving, the grass was cover with some kind of black and red blood, "Sonic is something the matter?" asked Silver getting near the hedgehog, "This is where I killed Mephiles" whispered Sonic, he's breath was cold, that explained the black and red blood on the grass, "Silver do you think.." Sonic didn't finish he's sentence and looked at Silver. Silver knew what he refer to "No that can't be" said Silver, "He's body couldn't disintegrated so fast" said Sonic, Silver was getting more worried, "We have to go warn Amy and Scourge" said Sonic. Both Sonic and Silver headed back to the Flesh Pits where Scourge was with Amy, "Uh! I won't be able to sit for a year" exaggerated Scourge, he was still walking funny, "Well you can still lie down on your belly unless you feel more used that way?" said Amy, Scourge threw he's sai witch landed near Amy's head only next to it, "Well your aim is in good shape" She said looking at the sai next to her. Scourge grabbed the sai and pulled it away, "Amy, Scourge we have bad news" said Sonic, "What happen?" she asked, "Looks like Mephiles has come back to life" said Silver, "Great the other king to complicate more our lives" said Scourge, "How are you sure?" asked Amy, "I wen't to the exact same place where I killed him and he's body wasn't there" explained Sonic, "Well that could only mean one thing, and it is the return of Mephiles" said Amy, "You three are going to have to be more united than ever, especially you two Scourge and Silver, you can't go anywhere alone, "I can take care of my self, even of what happen today" said Scourge, "No Scourge you disobey my rules" said Sonic, Scourge didn't answered back at Sonic. Amy was worried about them all, "What should we do know?,if those three kings get together who knows what they will do" said Silver, "Silver I already told you Shadow wouldn't do a thing" said Sonic, "Sure" said sarcastically Silver, "Well I bet they won't, Fleetway is back in the Tarkatan Realm and if Mephiles is alive he won't know about this place and plus I though that Shadow would get involved" said Amy, "See she is right" said Sonic, Silver rolled he's eyes, "You guys might want to hear the story of Shadow" said Amy sitting on a rock. The 3 hedgehog looked at the pink hedgehog who was about to tell the story.
Flashback
Years ago one night in Outworld realm was born Shadow in some kind of ancient clan. The tradition was that one child must have been born by moth Shadow was born along another one. So Shadow's parents had 2 deviations give Shadow away or kill him. They decided to leave him in a basket in front of the palace of Locke and he's son Knuckles. Knuckles was going out that day, he was a kid when he found Shadow opening the door looking at the basket. He took Shadow inside he was exited he always wanted a baby brother. "Dad look a little baby was left in front of our door" said Knuckles holding baby Shadow who was wrapped up with a white blanket, "Knuckles get rid of that thing" said Locke he wasn't a kind man nor he's people would think of him like that, "But dad please you know I always wanted a sibling" said Knuckles trying to convince he's father, "No Knuckles that is no brother of your he doesn't even have my blood, he is just a baby from the outside world, plus I don't have time to waist on children" said Locke, but Knuckles didn't wanted to give up on Shadow, "Please father I can raise him" said Knuckles, "You are a child and you won't have the time since you are always training" said Locke. Then a maid well know to them came into the room, she was a purple cat with sun burning eyes and a red jewelry on her head, "No need to sir I can help Knuckles on taking care of the little toodler" said the cat, "See daddy even Blaze will help me" said Knuckles. Locke looked at Knuckles, he took a deep breath, "Fine but he is your responsibility as well yours mis Blaze" said Locke, "Yay" said Knuckles he held Shadow very close. Even do the years had pass on Knuckles was getting older and older he was a adult, while Shadow was a teenager. Knuckles trained Shadow to become strong like he's father trained him, but Knuckles attitude became more and more like Locke's everyday he was cruel and cold, Locke never did liked Shadow and never will, he always intend to challenge him just to beat him up knowing there skills could not be compare. Till one day it happen, Shadow was getting ready for he's new fight against Knuckles they were having a conversation before the fight, "Uh nice skirt" said Shadow messing with Knuckles by he's outfit, Knuckles chuckled, "You don't want to really want to start the fight here Shadow" said Knuckles, "I was being sincere" said Shadow chuckling, "You are incapable of sincerity" said Knuckles looking at Shadow's ruby eyes, "I looked forward to this day as much as you have Knucks" said Shadow,Knuckles put a hand on Shadow's shoulder "I know you have .... Shadow you are my brother and my friend and I am proud of how you blossom to be a strong worrier" said Knuckles, he haves Shadow a warm hug. Shadow and Knuckles always did get along very well besides there differences, "Now get ready for our fight" said Knuckles. They have been dreaming about this day testings there strength, Knuckles was in one position while Shadow was in the other, Shadow and Knuckles had almost the same costume since they were battling (Klassic Mortal Kombat costumes). The battle would commence and so Locke was sitting up near a place watching the fight, he was hoping that Knuckles would beat the $#%+ out of Shadow, "BEGING!" yelled Locke. Knuckles was first to charge at Shadow he had a big heavy metal hammer, Shadow moves away on time before Knuckles manage to smash him, Shadow punch Knuckles a punch came with a kick with multiple punches as well. Knuckles was hurt, but he still head held high, when Shadow was about to kick him, Knuckles moved he's hammer and making Shadow smash agains the wall hard, Locke smirked at that act. Shadow started to bleed from the nose, he never knew Knuckles hammer was that hard, Shadow almost couldn't get up and managed to do so. Knuckles took that chance and charged at Shadow once more hitting him again with the matter, Shadow fell on the floor rooling around a few time, "Uhh! If Knuckles keeps this up I will break a few bones, "Yes son give him what he deserves" said Locke. Knuckles stood in front of Shadow about to finish the fight he lifted the hammer up ready to let it fall down on Shadow, "My favorite part Fatality" said Locke. Shadow narrow he's eyes and used he's feet to knock knuckles out he's feet, Knuckles fell backwards and the hammer landed on top of him knocking Knuckles out. Locke and the kingdom were shocked but they all clapped an cheered at Shadow except for Locke.
End of flashback
"I bet Locke was planing something that day" said Sonic, "He was he didn't like one bit that Shadow had won instead of Knuckles and do that night he had token Shadow and to the forest and best him up" said Amy
Flashback
Locke had finish beating up Shadow. Locke had a few hits but nothing compared with Shadow who was all scratch hot and hod blood most of he'd body. "You are one cruel man" said Shadow while he still catch he's breath, "You should have though twice before defeating my son in the fight today, I will not let the kingdom see there future king being beat by a weakling" said Locke, "So you decide to kill your son's brother" said Shadow, "I don't care who you are to him, but I know you are nothing" said Locke, "Why are you like this?" asked Shadow he was loosing life already dying slowly in the cold forest, "In a selfish world a selfish success" said Locke as he left Shadow to die in the forest. Shadow died slowly in the cold forest, he had never felt such anger before, "You will pay with your blood and should Locke the echidnas, even if my sprit hunts you for the rest of your life" whispered Shadow, a flame came near Shadow. Shadow weakly tried to stay away the flames surrounded him, "Great now I don't die cold I die burned" though Shadow. The fire seemed to stop right in front of him, "Rage and anger" the words seem to come from the fire, "I can help get revenge on the one who caused you pain to your corrupted soul" the words wen't deep into Shadow's head. All he could remember the insults and pain and wounds Locke gave him, "Yes I will make him pay till the day he dies" said Shadow, the flames surrounded he's whole body sending him to hell. "Now that you gave yourself up to us, you will now control the powers of the flames and with your anger you will get what you want" the flames entered Shadow's body a very violent way, "AHHHHHHHHH!" he's screams we're heard in the hole forest, Shadow no longer had he's red ruby eyes, they were fully white now with no pupils no nothing. He wen't thru the journey of hell, he was now more muscular. His wounds were no longer, Shadow became a vicious beast seeking for revenge and was planing to as well.
End of Flashback
"I bet I know what happen next" said Sonic, "Yes that same night he killed Locke, slowly and in the end he burned him" said Amy. It was a violent death for Locke but he did made Shadow suffer for years. "But how come Locke was that violent with Shadow?" asked Scourge, "Locke felt envy thinking that Shadow was better than Knuckles" explained Amy. Now Sonic knew Shadow's terrible past and irealized how hard it must have been never been wanted in a place and be abandon and abuse. "Now I understand why Shadow is like that" said Sonic, "But Shadow already had he's revenge why is he still so..... evil like that?" asked Silver, "Ever since the flames entered him he can't hold in the anger but he had try to express it by turning it into love" said Amy, "Love? What kind of love is that?" asked Silver annoyed, "It will take him time to super that" said Amy. Shadow may have been like that but Sonic had to admit Shadow was treating him kinder, "Well he has been supering it with me" said Sonic, "I bet" said Silver mad as always, "He is and I will prove to you that I can make Shadow change" said Sonic, "Fine go ahead when you prove me wrong then I will tell you" said Silver he wen't between the cloning tubes and climbed a rock sitting and staying there. "Ignore him Sonic, it seems he can't forget someone either, he may say the contrary but he can't stop thinking of Mephiles " said Scourge, Silver had may be acting like that but he felt so heart broken every time they remind him that he though Mephiles had change but he was wrong or so he though. Sonic knew that it was going to take time for Silver and it might not be easy either now that he might be alive, "Sonic it's time to return" said Amy, Sonic nod an got up, "Take care guys I'll be back soon" said Sonic.
Amy and Sonic return to the castle like normally they did almost always, "I'm surprise Shadow isn't here waiting for you in the front door" said Amy, "He might have got sick of doing that" said Sonic chuckling, "We'll I'll be in my room take care Sonic" said Amy she disappear going to her room. Sonic knew that she always help him, but how did she meet Shadow he wonder. Sonic felt a hand on he's hip he jumped a little, but he knew who it was, "Your back?" Shadow asked wrapping he's hands around Sonic's hips, "Yeah ummm Shadow I'm going to hold on to going to Earth Realm, I don't think I'm going yet" said Sonic, "Really? that is a surprise" said Shadow. Shadow realized Sonic been acting a bit different, Shadow turned him around "Is something wrong Sonic?" asked Shadow, Sonic actually been acting like that because he felt sorrow for Shadow's terrible past. Sonic rest he's head on Shadow's shoulder, "Nothing just a little bit tired" said Sonic. Before Sonic knew it Shadow had pick him up bridal style, "Uhh Shadow you know I can walk right?" said Sonic, "It wouldn't hurt to carry you" said Shadow. And so he did he carried Sonic to there room, and settle him on the bed, Sonic removed his mask and steel folding fans settle them down on the desk near by. Shadow mainly remove his swords and put them in the closet and the mask as well. He saw Sonic sitting on the bed and then lie down, Shadow got ontop of him, "What?" asked Sonic, Shadow just grin. He started to slide a hand on Sonic's tummy, it tickled Sonic but he tried to hold it in, "Your ticklish on your belly" said Shadow he liked the idea, "Don't you dare" said Sonic chuckling, "Too late" he started to tickled Sonic's ticklish spot, "No Hahahahahaha Shadow stop it Hahahahahaha" said Sonic he didn't like to be tickle he tried turning on he's belly but no use Shadow was still tickling him, "You can't escape me" said Shadow. Sonic had he's own plan he manage to grab Shadow's hands and switch possitions, Shadow was now on the bottom and Sonic was on top. "Oh so your sneaky but I don't have a tickle spot" said Shadow, "Oh really? Don't fool me" said Sonic, Shadow had a sweat drop on his face. Sonic put a finger on he's chest fur, "Are we sure about that my king?" he asked, Shadow flinch. Sonic started to tickle Shadow's chest fur, "Sonic no Hahahahahaha stop!" Shadow never knew that Sonic knew his weak spot, "No I want to tickle you" said Sonic, as he continue to tickle Shadow. Shadow tried to hold it in but couldn't he just keep laughing. He needed to think fast and so he did he grabbed Sonic and switched again he was on top and Sonic on the bottom. Shadow had he's own plan he's eyes we're half closed, he kissed Sonic's lip. Sonic kissed him back and wrapped his arms around Shadow's neck.
