This is really beautiful ;_; It has such a feeling of togetherness, whether the light they're heading towards is a brighter future or a potentially sad/scary experience, but they know they're in it together... It almost makes me want to cry. You've done an amazing job, it's such an emotional piece.

This reminds me a lot of the mise-en-scene, field size, lighting, colors, and overall image composition of the very last shot of the film Mein Kampf based on the play by George Tabori, which toys with the idea that Hitler's only friend in his youth in Austria before WWI was a Jewish man in his 50s who saw all of young Hitler's hardships and humiliations, and Hitler felt even more humiliated by the fact the old man tried to help him.
The film ends with the now really old man circa 25 years later recalling the story to another Jew while they're both in a prison cell in Hitler Germany, and they're being called out of the cell via a bellowing PA calling all Jewish prisoners for a roll call outside, with the very last shot looking just like this pic here with both of them running next to each other in slo-mo down the hall towards a bright light, presumably to their deaths.
