The Last Building Standing

Driving on for what seems like days in this desert sun. not a single structure in wich to take shelter or to try and find any provisions. Spiring out of the desert air I see this single tall building surrounded by ruins. I thought finally something to get my out of this desert heat for a bit. It took almost an hour to reach the building one I saw it peak over the horizon, but I finally made it.
   Here it stood all by itself, no signs or any for of identification, just a really tall tower that was covered in cracks from old age. I would definitely have to be careful inside of this thing. Staring straight up and the fragile giant trying to see the top I thought maybe I could scale this thing and see how far out I am from the nearest establishment.
   Slowly I started to climb as parts of the stairs and walls gave way to my weight. As fragile as some parts of the tower was, the main structure still seemed quite sound. Climbing my way through stairs and what seemed like offices I noticed some of the rooms on the higher floors have been untouched to plunderers. I would have to give them further inspection on my way back down.
   After climbing the stairs for what seemed to be an hour I had reached the top. parts of the walls were missing so I carefully approached the openings and peered out into the blinding desert sunlight. Nothing as far as my eyes could see. Nothing but mirages. Maybe if I waited until It got dark I could see some lights off in the horizon.
