~Day One~ (Part One)

Disclaimer: Most of the characters in this story are copyright Nintendo. They hail primarily from Animal
Crossing. This story is going to closely follow my real game of Animal Crossing New Leaf where possible
with a dash of smut thrown in. The story as a whole will primarily focus on my Red Squirrel Character
Icarus. He's a flying squirrel. Red fur, with light brown highlights, he's 5'10". This is one main
difference the main character in this story will be an animal. The other main difference is there will be
smut. Lots of it. Just not in this chapter haha. Anyways I hope you enjoy, comments will be enabled and
if you really want to reach me, send me a pm!

~Day One~

"Bye Mom!" I shouted as I got on the train and headed for greener pastures. I was on my way. I had finally
gotten her approval to move out and away I went. It wasn't bad living at home, but I wanted to experience
an independence and a freedom that only going my own way would allow. I boarded the train and looked
wistful as I took my seat. "This is gonna be great."

***

"Excuse me ma'am, are you alright?" A terminal guard asked as he handed me a tissue. I couldn't stop
crying after waving good bye to my dearest Icarus. He was a good boy. Young, confident, and maybe just a
little naive; But he would learn. "Oh no officer. I'm fine... *sniff* just saying goodbye to my son. And
I got a little bit emotional. It's not supposed to be this hard ya'know?"

"Yes ma'am. I'll leave ya be then, carry on."

And that was that. I cried for another 10 minutes as I walked back to the car and headed home. Little did
I know what my boy would become. What he bring down upon that unsuspecting village.

***

"Excuse me sir, are you alright?" A curious cat asked as I refocused after falling out of my seat. I had
nodded off in the middle of the ride and slipped out of my chair hitting my head on the seat in front of
 me.

"I'm ok, just nodded off and knocked my noggin."
"Here, its an Ice Pack I had in my lunch box, it might help with that lump thats forming."
"Thanks, my names Icarus."
"Rover, pleased to meet you. Nice suitcase, going on a vacation?"
"More of a life change actually, turning over a new leaf."
"I see. Where you headed?"
"Oh a little nigh ghost town out in the sticks. You've probably never heard of it."
"Try me."
"Narshe."
"OH I have no idea what'll be waiting for you but I know that I've never been there. Isn't it the next
stop?"

*BING BONG BING* "NEXT STOP NARSHE DEBOARDING IN 10 MINUTES"

At the sound of the announcement I fell silent and he continued to ask small talk questions which were met
with short answers. He was a most curious cat to look at but all in all I found him a little plain.

***

I de-board the train, suitcase in hand, glad to be away from Curious George and his endless questions, only
to be swarmed by what must have been the entire village. A grand total of five people. I would learn there
names later but for now they were just another crowd. My head hurt and I was not in the mood for any more
excitement. Maybe I can skirt by unnoticed. I hadn't made any arrangements before hand to meet anybody so
surely this crowd was for someone else.

"WELCOME! WELCOME! WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU!" They shout and they scream as I rub my head and blink having
been caught off guard. A young yellow well groomed, well mannered, bookish looking shih-tsu approached me
taking control of the crowd as she did. "Greetings sir. Welcome to Narshe. You must be the new Mayor we've
been expecting. We received word that he was coming on this train today."

Did she just say mayor? "Woah hold it "
"Sir I must insist you come with me at once"

"But I..." I can't even finish my sentence as her paw grabbed mine and off we went. Her paw was silky smooth
to the touch though and did feel nice in my paw. It was about this time my devious little mind started to
grasp the gravity of the situation I found myself in. As we approached the town hall it really sunk in that
she did in fact say Mayor.

"It is just a little farther sir, then we can be alone to discuss you're new role." The shih-tsu says as she
drags me by the paw to the Town Hall. She is quick with the lock on the door and with a whoosh we are alone
in the building. It is a bit dusty and a little cluttered. There is an older '50s style counter. Complete
with a retro light. It smells musty, like an old library in here. Behind the counter is a desk. Like an
editor and The Daily Planet would use. Vintage. Classy. Dust an inch thick. "Sir, we need to discuss this
it is an urgent matter. I received an email from an acquaintance of mine on the train you were on.
Our mayor Tortimer was supposed to be on that train. But when ... my acquaintance was unable to locate him,
we ran into a problem. We needed a solution fast. He saw you had passed out on the train and that you had
hit your head. He glanced at your destination slip on your suitcase and noticed you were also headed here.
So thinking fast, we kinda decided that you would be the new mayor. And we're sorry for the inconvenience."
She said this rather ashamedly as she was clutching her hands and shaking a little. I don't know if it was
the adorable way she was shuffling her feet, or the brief moment our eyes met, but I agreed to keep up the
charade.

In time it become more than just a charade.

"I'll do it."
"What was that" She said Incredulously.
"I said I'll do it. I'll be the mayor. Not just in jest but in Title." With that resounding commitment I
settled myself in to my new chair, dusted off the desk and tented my paws pensively. Yes this was going to
be a great time indeed.
"You really really will? Oh that's fantastic!" She squees as she jumps up and down. Bouncing a bit in her
sweater. He white blouse trying to bust out of the tight garment. It was obvious she was trying to downplay
her beauty. Perhaps she didn't even know she had the greatest potential. "But first things first, if you are
going to take over as mayor we need to finish some paperwork." She speaks as she steps in front of my, her
body against mine she grabs my paw and directs me to a paper on the desk. It asks for an address.

It was then that I realized I didn't have a home.
