Made this almost 2 months ago. Been on my DA account and thought, hey why not of IB.

I'll just copy and past my comment from there:

My Catapult Mech from MechWarrior 4. What a beautiful design! Looks so much better then the Cat in the new MechWarrior Online.

Game '(s)' there are lots of them, ranging from the old table top that started in the late 70's to many PC and even a few xbox games I never cared for

Autocanon/10 and a small laser on a walking turret of death for a BV of only about 500. and they're ADORABLE. Seriously, how could you not love the crap out of them?

ooh MechWarrior :D

I always love them chicken leg mechs.  My fav is the Madcat and the Marauder.  I played the heck out of MW1, 2, and 2:Mercs.

4 was nice and shiney and the sound tracks was epic :)

In fact, those MW games are the basis on which i build most mechs from my legos now :)  even right now, im building one on my desk :D

Ha, I remember making mech's out of legos too^^ but back then we didn't have all these fancy connect legos, we had to use just the big fat blocks

yup me too :D  I only had a box full of the same legos from various sets mixed together for many many years throughout my childhood.

I only get a new set added to the mix like once in a 3 years if i'm lucky.  I didn't know how to take care of the blocks, so I just throw them all in one big used Sears drill tool box, and over time, the sharp corners of the legos scratched every surface of every block up =(

It wasnt until when I was done with college that I got a new lego set as a gift, and I'm like WOW ITS SO SHINY.  And finally introduced to new and wonderful parts, which I'm currently using now.  I'll share a few pics of my mechs if you are interested. All these will be the new ones.  I never kept any old ones that I made back then =/

You want to argue with me? Well too bad cause your cockpit was just burned out by 9 medium lasers and I'm not even at half heat yet BWAHAHAHA!

Hunchbacks are great, I love them! The only problem with them is I you ever run into me, I'll blow off there right shoulder and you just lost 78% of your weapons^^

(note: This is not meant to be a serious disparagement, I apologize If I offend anyone ^.^')
Hunchbacks!? please, Atlas all the way! Dire Wolf (Daishi in MW 3-4) be damned!

As far as mediums go, I'd take the Conjurer (Hellhound, MW4 var.) over the S'cat.  Urbies and Hunchies just weren't very maneuverable.

As far as assaults go, the Deimos had a special place in my heart.  Perhaps less durable than Warhawk (Masakari) or DireWolf (Daishi), but far more maneuverable.

Most of my clan fights were done in a Summoner (Thor).

well all the clan mech's are pretty overpowered just with their weapons alone not even including the engine bonuses^^ But if you've played tabletop you'll learn how awesome Hunchies are as they are cheap in price and pack a pretty good punch.

the Video games don't really account for the price tags of the mechs unfortunately as that's where the balancing actually is (25millioin Dire vs 9million Atlas)

Think the only time I got to play the board game was back during college like 16 years ago, and even then I was pretty much stuck with a Trebuchet.  Did manage to strip a Catapault, with lucky dice.
