I'm being serious when I'm asking this, I don't expect a really detailed answer, since it may of took a LOT of steps and probably quite complicated. But how did you do this?

well actually just did the basic flat coloring and then I threw in some highlights and played with the smudge tool around the edges to try and give it the look I wanted ^.^
