Else gets A LOT of babysitters. So many that you might wonder what her parents are busy with every night...
On the left is her father, Cyrus. He's a mad scientist an eccentric inventor and researcher with a dozen degrees under his belt in various sciences. Else is closer with him than her mother, but the workshop in their attic just isn't equipped for most of his experiments (it could stand to be more fire-proof...) and he's forced to spend long nights at remote sites for his work. When they are together, though, it's all games, movies, and ice cream - and she's happy to be his assistant when he's working at home.
On the right is Pepper, mom-of-action. She's a pulp hero crack pilot and celebrated ex-boxer, and is frequently away flying important figures around the globe. There's good work for a fearless flier with a successful boxing career behind her, y'know? Unfortunately, this keeps her continents away from Cyrus and Else, day-to-day. When she does get back home for a break, it's a big event - filled with exchanges of stories about exotic countries and friends from school. Despite her WW2-esque flight gear, she was born too late to actually fight Nazis; she can fly a biplane, though.
